Atlantica glass is the spectrally selective* emerald-green member of PPG’s Oceans of Color collection. As timeless and beautiful as the ocean for which it is named, Atlantica glass combines desirable visible light transmittance and excellent solar heat control with a pleasant green aesthetic that complements a diverse range of building materials. -
Starphire Ultra-Clear™ glass is stunningly clear because it contains less than 1⁄10 of the iron present in typical clear glass, which means more light shines through. Its luxurious aesthetic will inspire you to find new and creative ways to use it. As its thickness increases, Starphire Ultra-Clear™ glass gains a distinctive azure-blue edge, while the transparency of the glass remains ultra-clear, unlike typical clear glass, in which the green hue becomes more pronounced. Starphire® glass stays clear — even at thicknesses of up to 3⁄4 inch. -
Our bronze mirrors with a mastic backing have a rich bronze color without sacrificing reflectivity. They work great as accent pieces that add a pop of color and brightness to any room, and the mastic backing make it easy to install, and overall strengthen the mirror to ensure it is more durable over the course of its life. -
Sandblasted textured glass shares the same aesthetic qualities of acid etched glass, providing complete privacy while still transmitting light. Where sandblasted glass differs from acid etched is in how it is fabricated. Sandblasted glass is produced by spraying sand at high velocities over the surface of the glass. This gives the glass a translucent surface, which is usually rougher than that obtained by etching. -
Azuria® tinted glass delivers spectrally selective performance (in thicknesses of 1/4”/6mm or greater) with a unique aqua blue appearance. Solarban 90 is a high performing MSVD advanced solar control low-e glass with the appeal of a true neutral-reflective clear glass aesthetic. Solarban 90 glass is engineered with new materials and refinements to PPG's proven triple-silver coating technology to offer architects a product that outperforms Solarban 70XL glass while balancing visible light transmittance and helping to manage glare. The coating can also be paired with, or used directly on several PPG tinted glasses in an insulating glass unit. -
Laminated glass is a type of safety glass that holds together when shattered. Much like our other clear glasses, it features a flat surface with a uniform thickness that provides an unobstructed views. Laminated glass is also proficient at improving heat insulation, and insulating sound. Laminated glass should be used over tempered and annealed glass when there is the possibility for human impact, or if the glass could fall. It is also ideal for architectural applications in homes and buildings that will be receiving direct sunlight, as it is very efficient at reflecting UV rays.
